Peanut butter and paper jam

Regardless of how much money you spend on your printer, issues will arise. You could purchase an overly expensive laser printer for the office or a personal inkjet printer for less than $100. Whichever type of machine you are searching the market for, someday a problem will occur and it is important to know how to fix it without enlisting paid mechanics that will charge the price of the printer just to fix a small part. This youtube video shows the average person how to clear up a simple paper jam in a personal inkjet printer.

When you are printing, especially a task that has multiple pages involved, the most annoying thing in the world is getting a paper jam. Not only does it slow down and delay the completion of the task, but it also requires you to try taking pieces off the panel of the machine and trying to remove the jammed piece of paper. Sometimes you try to pull out the scrunched up piece of paper only to rip it in half and leave a tiny piece of paper wedged in there between rollers. It then becomes even more difficult to retrieve the problematic paper. At that point, you may as well shove a handful of peanut butter in there because the machine will work just as well.

Paper jams are usually caused by wrinkled sheets, paper that is loaded into the machine slightly crooked or sideways, corners that are folded in or just sticky rollers. Any of these small issues that most people overlook can cause a nasty and annoying jam. Be sure to put your paper in the unit straight with no wrinkles or folds in any piece. If you can hold up that end of the bargain, you will be pleasantly surprised how many jams you don’t have anymore.
